The Music Shoppe was established in 1973 by John Beeson to service musician's needs in the city of Terre Haute, Indiana. Through the years, we' ve grown into one of the largest stocked guitar stores in the Midwest, with over 1000 guitars on display. We also stock a large selection of amps, banjos', violins, mandolins and drums sets. Our selection includes: Gibson, Fender, Martin, Guild, Marshall, Vox, Gretsch, Jackson, and PRS to name a few. If your needs are for accessories, we carry a very good selection of microphones, strings, cables, effect pedals, and many more everyday items needed for the musician.

A very large percentage of our inventory are used and vintage items. Any used item is serviced before it is put out for sale. Our technicians are certified and schooled for string instrument repair. The Music Shoppe is also an authorized Fender service center for acoustic and electric guitars. The Music Shoppe warranties all new & used instruments, unless pre-stated. Our service department offers a complete range of services including total refretting of your guitar.

The Music Shoppe also offers lessons on guitar and bass. Our teachers are professional working musicians with backgrounds in many styles of music. With this, the student can learn many variations of music, from rock to country, bluegrass to jazz.
